States of bewilderment, 2025

Oscillations are but chronology mixed into contradiction. By all accounts, there is no going forward.
As if pulling a thread, States of bewilderment stretches systems out of systems and attempts one possible staging of such paralysis through accumulations, irritations, and density. Minute and fundamental disalignments effected on everyday situations inject authority into nakedness, express the desperate togetherness innate in hierarchy, and make recognisable images play with grasp.
Necessarily non-spectacular and non-narrative, States of bewilderment intends to test against prevalent conceptions of strengths and weaknesses, madness and survival, agency and obligation, malice and the condition of lostness. In doing so it commemorates missed marks of intent, and the pain and ultimate autonomy of an incessant self-observation that repeatedly lure into familiarity, only to then reorient and reconfigure perceptivity for the nth time.
